RFID-enabled industrial laundry tracking and sorting platform

Industrial laundries handle massive throughput where mis-sorting wastes time, energy, and materials. I built a proof-of-concept UHF RFID system that uniquely identifies items and logs scans to an online database, enabling item-level tracking now and serving as a base for future automation.

I implemented the full pipeline: embedded reader integration, acquisition of EPC identifiers, Wi-Fi connectivity behavior, and cloud logging to Google Sheets via Google Apps Script. I iterated through integration and reliability issues (timing, reconnection behavior, latency), then documented performance and constraints in a final report and poster.

Measured performance was practical for the target setting: 5–10 m read range and roughly 30–50 tags/second throughput in testing, plus a simple durability check where one tag stayed functional after 3 months submerged in water.
